Warranty

The Detex product you have purchased is warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship when properly applied, installed, used and maintained according to Detex installation instructions and maintenance manual. We will guarantee mechanical and electrical components and repair or replace any part that, upon our examination, proves to be defective under normal use and has failed to properly operate as designed. This does not apply to batteries or damage from leaking batteries.

STANDARD WARRANTY PERIOD: 10 years mechanical, 3 years electrical from date of purchase

EXCEPTIONS TO STANDARD WARRANTY PERIOD:

• 3 years mechanical, 1 year electrical on AO19 Low Energy Operators, EAX Exit Alarms, BE Battery Eliminator, Series 800 Power Supplies and Controllers, DTX Access Control and MS Magnetic Switches
• 3 years mechanical on VRA 2-point vertical rods, 90KR and 90 mullions

This warranty will be honored only upon presentation of proof that the product covered thereby was purchased directly from an authorized Detex Distributor.  WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS OR DAMAGE ARISING OUT OF THE FAILURE OF THIS DEVICE.

Not under warranty for Weatherized and Non-Weatherized Door Hardware products

Specifically excluded and not covered under this warranty are (1) the effects of corrosion, erosion and normal wear and tear, (2) cosmetic damage to exit device finishes, including scratches, dents, chips and other similar damage, unless such damage results from defects in materials and workmanship, and (3) exposure to extreme climate changes or harsh chemicals.

The service life and appearance of finishes of most Detex products can be degraded if the product is used in certain environments that are subject to extreme climate changes or exposure to the presence of harsh chemicals. The conscientious performance of a comprehensive maintenance program on a regular basis will help to maximize the service life and preserve the appearance of the product.

ES8300 Optical Turnstile with Barrier

Designed for use in building lobby applications where higher security, high speed throughput and interior aesthetics are priorities. The Optical Turnstiles with Barrier provide a visual as well as psychological barrier which communicates to pedestrians that authorization is required before entering the secured area. These units will monitor high throughput traffic flow of up to 30 people per minute per lane while optical sensors and barrier arms ensure only one person entry for each authorized I.D. card presented.
