Digital Objects
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is an intelligent 3D model-based process that gives architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) professionals the insight and tools to efficiently plan, design, construct, and manage buildings and infrastructure. The BIM process allows you to visualize how a building will look and function. From windows and doors to sinks and soap dispensers, BIM models show exactly what can be expected from a building.

Sustainability
Through several certification processes, Detex’s products are being awarded with EPDs, Sustainability Reports, and HPDs to help our customers reach their LEED certification goals. In addition to LEED, Detex can help project teams with certifications beyond LEED. Detex products can also contribute to WELL, BREEAM and Living Building Challenge.

California Proposition 65

California Proposition 65, the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, was enacted as a ballot initiative in November 1986.

California Proposition 65:

• Was intended to protect California citizens and the state’s drinking water sources from chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm, and to inform citizens about exposures to such chemicals
• Prohibits California businesses from knowingly discharging significant amounts of listed chemicals into sources of drinking water
• Requires California to publish a list of chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. This list, which must be updated at least once a year, has grown to include approximately 900 chemicals since it was first published in 1987

The list of chemicals contains a wide range of naturally occurring and synthetic chemicals that include additives or ingredients in pesticides, common household products, food, drugs, dyes, or solvents. Listed chemicals may also be used in manufacturing and construction, or they may be byproducts of chemical processes, such as motor vehicle exhaust.

By California law, a warning must be given for listed chemicals unless the exposure is low enough to pose no significant risk of cancer or is significantly below levels observed to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. Detex’s warning label looks like this:

ES831 Barrier Arm Optical Turnstile

ES831 bi-directional optical turnstiles with hands-free barrier arms enhance the security of access control systems. The ES831 provides a visual as well as a psychological barrier while communicating to pedestrians that authorization is required to gain access to a facility or area.

ES8500 Mid-Sized Optical Turnstile

With sleek and attractive designs, the ES8500 mid-sized optical turnstiles are ideal for small to mid-sized lobbies or entry applications that require pleasing aesthetics. The ES8500 pedestals ensure controlled access by forming pedestrian walkways and monitoring high levels of pedestrian traffic at up to 60 people per minute per lane. Access is controlled by sensors that allow one person to enter for each I.D. card that is presented, and an alarm is triggered by unauthorized access.

ES860 Canister Style Optical Turnstile

When space is limited and pedestrian traffic is high, the ES860 canister style optical Turnstile provides an optimal solution. Designed for small to mid-sized lobbies or entry applications, these turnstiles allow for many lanes and easy authorization. The ES860 can monitor up to 60 people minute per lane, allowing access only to one person per authorized I.D. card.

ES8300 Optical Turnstile with Barrier

Designed for use in building lobby applications where higher security, high speed throughput and interior aesthetics are priorities. The Optical Turnstiles with Barrier provide a visual as well as psychological barrier which communicates to pedestrians that authorization is required before entering the secured area. These units will monitor high throughput traffic flow of up to 30 people per minute per lane while optical sensors and barrier arms ensure only one person entry for each authorized I.D. card presented.

ES811 Non-Barrier Optical Turnstile

The ES811 Non-Barrier Optical Turnstile provides enhanced security in an aesthetically pleasing package, and is ideal for upscale lobby entrances with high pedestrian throughput.
