Russell Hansmann Promoted to Product Trainer

New Braunfels, TX – Detex is proud to announce that Russell D. Hansmann has been promoted to the position of Product Trainer at Detex Corporation. In his new role, Russell will guide the strategic direction of internal and external customer training for the Detex and DSI brands. Russell will also be responsible for the development of Detex University, where locksmiths and integrators can receive factory training.

Russell’s career in the door hardware industry began in 1988 when he joined Detex Corporation as a repair technician. He soon moved to Product Support and became Supervisor of the Technical Support department. He has extensive experience working directly with locksmiths, spec writers, architects and electricians on installations, applications and troubleshooting, and for more than 35 years he has been sharing his experience with others as a trainer on door hardware and electronic watchclock systems. Russell has an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from NEC.

A notable humanitarian accomplishment of Russell’s is that he is the founder and President of RoundUp4Charity, a nonprofit community service organization that focuses on activities that provide support and comfort for first responders, military and veterans; people with special needs and other underserved groups in New Braunfels and the surrounding area. The group helps with critical bills, furnishes homes, provides help with groceries and transportation, honors veterans and provides inclusive opportunities for those with special needs.

For more than a century, Detex has earned the trust of architects and building owners who rely on our products to protect people and property. Based in New Braunfels, Texas, Detex is a U.S. manufacturer that designs, produces, markets, and ships safety and security solutions worldwide.
