Detex Lockdown System Secures Healthcare Facilities During Emergencies

Detex Corporation, manufacturer of high-quality life safety and security door hardware for commercial-use buildings, provides critical protection for healthcare facilities when threatening situations arise. Using centralized control, the Detex Lockdown System can rapidly secure external doors and prevent access into the building.

Lockdown System components include Advantex® panic hardware with electric latch retraction or electric dogging, remote control switches (central or multiple), and power supplies. Auxiliary equipment includes door-propped alarms to alert staff of open exit doors, vandal-resistant breakaway trims, and ProxiPen guard tour verification.

Healthcare customers can select the exact combination of components they require and know that they will integrate easily with each other and function well as a system.

“Hospitals and other healthcare facilities have to be prepared for serious problems caused by unauthorized intruders,” said Ken Kuehler, National Accounts Manager at Detex.  “With our Lockdown System in place, they have an important security measure to use if it ever becomes necessary.”

For more than a century, Detex has earned the trust of architects and owners who rely on Detex products for the safety and security of people and property. A USA company, Detex designs, manufactures, markets and ships products around the world from New Braunfels, Texas. Detex is known internationally for life safety and security door hardware, loss prevention and architectural hardware, integrated door security systems and guard tour verification.
